The Wayshard Dagger

Nasty ice dagger that knocks its victims into walls - literally!

Forged by the Ice Fey of Louhri's kingdom, legends say Wayshard was once one of the stalactites in the dragon, Essa Dalmox's lair. In 1343 when the Lord of the Ice Fey, Lord Kimeral wanted revenge against his enemies he went to speak with the Ancient Ice dragon beneath Louhri's mountain. Essa Dalmox is said to have breathed upon a shard of ice, infusing her spirit into its substance.

Wayshard appears to be made of a single piece of wickedly crafted opaque ice capped with a metal hilt of quite artistic design and almost 9" in length from hilt to tip. At +10% to hit and +2/+2 damage it wouldn't impress too many warriors with its balance or sharpness. But Wayshard does have one interesting ability.

Anything struck by the dagger is phased 10' (save vs 10th level each strike) in a random direction... up, down, back etc etc. If the target is standing on solid ground or against a wall, phasing in certain directions means instant death!

Weycha's Sword of Trees

Legend says that Kane's woodland Goddess Weycha snapped off one of her branches; when the branch hit the ground it became a blade by which she could smite her enemies, the Suraanese Empire.

Made from Motherwood, if the sword ever snaps, it can be reformed by touching the parts together again. Only Dragon fire can destroy Weycha or Weycha's Motherwood.

Powers
In woodland the sword is +30% +6/+6, otherwise it is a blunt and unwieldy +0% -2/-2.
Also when the sword is in woodland, it gains POW equivalent to Weycha's collective mind - all the trees in Kane! The wielder, Weycha's chosen Champion, can use the sword to tap any tree memory or sense as well as communing at will with Weycha herself.
All this as well as pass without trace, direction sense, innate tracking ability and control over trees, plants, vines and just about anything else that grows in a forest come part and parcel with the sword. Though not strictly a sword for combat, it does do a pretty good job.

Woethorn, The Sword of Akilla

A devastating holy weapon against undead and spirits as well as being an express ticket to becoming a Lich if wielded by the wrong hands.

Anyone holding Woethorn cannot die! If they do receive a fatal injury, they are immediately transformed into a Lich. The only drawback being that they cannot exist beyond 50 feet of the blade. The Lich cannot be slain or damaged in any way (but can be stunned), whilst they hold Woethorn in their grasp. If in the eventuality they are slain (a thing that shouldn't happen unless seperated from the sword), the wielder
is transformed again into another even more nasty type of undead... probably a new unique type. Imagine the horror when the Lich is dead but something else potentially even worse rises up from its corpse.

Of course this new type of undead will undoubtedly be short lived as it won't have Woethorn and even going near the blade will give it the jitters.

All of the above are just "extras" though / side effects to Woethorn's main purpose; the creation of Spirits of Akilla. If a priest or priestess of Akilla (or chosen of another spirit of Akilla) wields the sword and dies, they do not become a Lich but instead transform into a new Spiritual House. Woethorn is the only way the Spirits of Akilla can increase their numbers.

Because of this it is deemed a Holy Sword.

See Alyx of Akilla and Sisters of Sorrow for more information on Woethorn.

Yarbeung, Sword of Half-Light

Wielded by the Wise; a sword that dislikes Demons of any kind.

Base damage 1d6+1 +10% +1/+1 Semi sentient short sword.

Yarbeung was forged by Tredir the Blue in 2152. Made from steel with a black leatherbound hilt and narrow blade it was imbued with a spiritual hatred of Demons, enchanting to do the following whenever they're around ;-

Power Description
Glow A very pale light emanates from the blade when demons are within 1 mile. This is equivalent to a 5' radius light spell.
Slay Increases sharpness and balance to +25% +3/+3 when engaging demons as the blade "seeks".
Protect Grants +15% Magic resistence vs Demonic spells or abilities, as long as the blade or hilt is gripped. This power extends to any person or being also touching the sword.
Ward When held up in front of its wielder, Yarbeung acts like a Minor Warding spell (6th level), keeping Demons of 8th level or less at a distance of 20' from the sword, so long as the wielder doesn't use Yarbeung to attack.
