![]() Danae is no normal child; her origins are complex and require explanation. Events leading to Danae's birth Tess Hardy, brilliant young enchanter and founding member of the Sisterhood of Magic finds the resurrection vault of a powerful enchanter called Marvek of the Pentacle. Interfering with the vaults magic, she accidentally triggers Marvek's ritual and gains the Wizard's entire knowledge and memories. Tess later unearths the Ode - a strange four foot high and three foot wide oval crystal. Experimenting with it, Tess discovers it has a similar capacity to the human mind and hatches a plot to teach it. Her exploits lead to an artificial intelligence. The Lady Mercy enters inside the Ode and teaches it. The Ode's intelligence reaches a point where with Mercy's help, consciousness is nearly attained. One day the Ode transforms itself into a beautiful but very naive girl who chooses the name Hollis. Hollis has Mercy's power of sorcery, but to a much larger degree. Her mind is so pure and powerful that Mercy immediately begins training it in case the young girl hurts someone. As Hollis becomes more real, she realizes her existence cannot go on forever as the Ode is flawed. She also realizes that she is the sum of Mercy and Tess' parts, containing someone else's memories and personality traits. What she desires is to create something real, with real memories and a real soul. Hollis becomes an invaluable asset to the Resistance in standing against the Wraiths and Palasdine empire. She comes to the attention of the Eldar, who persuade her to join them on Mount Eldahar. Sharing Mercy's loyalty to the Eldar but also her loyalty to free will, Hollis decides that if she must join the Eldar, he child will not. She enters her imagination and recreates herself as a man with awesome mental powers like her own. Taking the man's seed and storing it, she then recreates herself as a girl again and conceives a child - using detailed information she has stolen from Eldar Quiverin's mind. She gives birth to Danae Mercy Celeste inside of a Planal Key belong to the Sorcerer Pendragon. In this secret place, outside of the normal world, Hollis can break laws and rules without the Eldar knowing. When Danae was born, she still didn't have a soul or spirit, but the World's imagination filled in the blanks, giving Danae a piece of unclaimed soul so that she could exist by its laws. Danae Mercy Celeste, Third greatest mind to ever exist in Eldahar (Orion, Baphomet) enters the world.

Mental strength

Taught in the womb and via the mind from the moment of her conception, Danae is simply extraordinary. By the time she was 1 year old, she had the mentality of a fifteen year old and was able to transform herself physically into almost any shape, size or form. At nine months, Danae coerced three Eldar into doing what she wanted, showing what pure mental strength can do... with a mind like a cosmic vice, she can and does do whatever she wants. Deemed by the world to be Orion's daughter, Danae has a great destiny ahead of her as the Greatest Sorceress on Eldahar, especially after the Evermore war when the Eldar, Law and Chaos have all fallen under North's spell and left Eldahar untended. Orion's
plan
In the year 198 Orion
the Eternal (using research done by Mekailo
Khazarad of Enor) created three sets of Soul Stones - modeled
after the Heartstone's of Dragon Kind and the Heartstone
of Eldahar itself. Each type of Soul Stone differed from the next, designed
to hold the spirits of three types of beings who would serve as the Champions
of his Great Plan.
![]() The Eshwin / Black Elves
However, Orion's plan went awry in 202 when Eskanu killed his Draconian ally Baphomet and sought dominion over Eldahar's Heart. Knowing everything he had sought to create would be destroyed in an instant if Eskanu came to power, Orion sacrificed himself so that his children might have a chance at existence. Unfortunately Eskanu still
managed to corrupt Orion's plan and poison some of the manufactured Soul
stones. The Eshwin - closest to the Heartstone of the World and Orion's
essence were changed by Orion's deed, taking on the semblance of Orion's
dark half. Finding themselves hunted and despised by the Qual (who
saw them as abominations created in their own image) the Eshwin
were forced to flee into the World and assume guerilla warfare against
Mount
Eldahar whilst trying to piece together what had become of their creator.
The Drai'ma'ke "Dark Elves" Drumar
- Male elf, Duartha - Female Elf.
The Eshwin found they could speak to each of their 12 Companions by holding the stones to their foreheads. In this way the Eshwin taught the stone-bound Drai'ma'ke about the World, raising them like children. The Eshwin (now referred to as Black Elves by the Qual and their allies) labored over the Drai'ma'ke stones for many years. Then in 282 Benel Joshu managed to capture a black skinned Drynn living in the Northern wastes and transplant a stone into the being's chest. Using pure energy (lightning) and a bit of luck, Benel managed to unlock the smooth Soul Stone and unleash its soul into the body. So did the first Drai'ma'ke awaken to the World. After that the Eshwin rounded up another 121 Drynn for the Drai'ma'ke to possess, giving "birth" to the what people would call the "Dark Elves." (Note - The Drynn population wasn't high to start with. After this little escapade the Drynn were heavily outnumbered by the other 11 Elven Houses and not very fond the Eshwin.) In later years, after a Drai'ma'ke's possessed body died, the Black Elves found it increasingly difficult to locate another Drynn to act as host. Partly due to dwindling numbers and partly due to the Drynn's new found skill at hiding, the Eshwin were forced to use other Elven bodies. This provoked retaliation from the other elven Houses and began a very long, protracted cold war against the Eshwin and their children. Over the years the Eldar
managed to cut out and lock away a lot of the Dark Elf Soul Stones. The
Drai'ma'ke below represent the 53 "free" Dark Elves circa 2600.
The
Ûnrashaùwan "Unfinished ones" / Spirits of Orion
To begin with the Ûnrashaùwan were just like the Drai'ma'ke, blank minds and souls (like children). But in 202 they seeped out of their Soul Stones and arose onto the Astral Plane, there to float for hundreds of years. Over these centuries they floated as giant clouds of spiritual matter, learning from the thoughts and prayers of the living. The Black Elves managed to contact and teach them some things but even they could not tame the insanity of Eskanu that had poisoned their very souls to the core. Immortal and virtually indestructible, the Ûnrashaùwan could shrink to an inch across or expand to several miles, their substance comprised of spiritual particles. The Spirits of Orion are very loud but don't cause that much damage to the physical plane. At the most they can cause small bruises, cuts or throw stones. They CAN scream abuse and hurl insults (which they frequently do). Many of their comments are imaginative and so shocking as to give priests minor heart attacks. Perverse, completely evil, insane and twisted, the Spirits of Orion give Orion a very bad name (thanks to Eskanu's influence). Main powers

Male, 26 yrs old, born in Absen - a village on the SE coast of Shadow. One brother Malak, one sister Angelica. Actually half Yarilian in blood, Drake's father was a Yarilian sea captain called Apone who landed to trade. Apone was eventually sacrificed to the gods of Shadow when Drake was only 4. Drake believes the gods can steal a man's soul. He is quite fearful of them and priests etc. A rogue, scoundrel, etc, Drake nevertheless has a pure heart and is too good for his own good, literally. |

Drastus Kol and his brother Kian both trained together in the army. They quickly rose to join the Elite fighters - called the Shadarain and their competitiveness knew no end. Then they both fell in love with the daughter of a local lord; called Timis. Timis eventually chose Kian over Kol, but only after Kol was dishonourably dismissed from the guard for killing an upstart Captain (Rijel); the Captain's father was a very influential merchent. Kol sank into depression and drink, fighting to make money for booze and food. Kian married Timis and advanced in rank to a Captain of the Shadarain. Kian's marriage however didn't prove all it was cracked up to be and soon Timis was in another's bed. Kian threw himself into work and became widely known as a vicious soldier whilst Kol toured the arena's for drink money. |
Drathelmox
Drathelmox was once a great leader among the Dragons who declared himself Dragon King. Respected for his strength and tactics he was the Draconian equivalent of Napoleon and responsible for several of the great Titan Wars. A die-hard believer in Draconian superiority he took a dislike to Baphomet and all the Wise dragon's ideas, opposing them at every turn. He despised having to share the World with other races and saw fit to kill as many as possible until Baphomet stopped him. Drath and his mate, Essa later started a Dragon war against Baphomet that resulted in over two hundred Ancient dragons being killed! Eventually though Baphomet won through by using his newly made Star Crown, but refused to kill Drath and Essa (as that would have caused an irrevicable split among Dragon Kind and prevented Baphomet from bringing lasting peace), banishing them instead. All other Dragons were forbidden to contact them or to acknowledge their existence. Using the 7 fold crown, Baphomet also placed a terrible ward over them both that if they ever got anywhere near another dragon, their Heartstone's would crack and they would die. In
201, sensing Baphomet's death at the talons of Eskanith, Drath attempted
to come near his mate Essa (believing Baphomet's
wards to have vanished.) However no sooner
as he approached, his Heartstone cracked and he "died."
After hundreds of years without any memory of his prior existence, Drath suddenly remembered who he was and had been. He began moving around the world, searching for a way to regain flesh and heal the crack in his Heartstone. By 2600 he no longer wanted to regain a mere body but instead wanted to evolve into a new and unique Dragon God. Afterall, if Eskanu and Orion could do it, what was to stop him. Essadalmox

Dunkan is a dwarven hero from Aradoch who was banished by his King for falling in love with the Queen. Fearing what Dunkan's execution would do for his own popularity, King Keostus sent the hero into the World of men, never to return.
