Wraith of the Living Dark Famous for his Darkhelm, Ogrek started off his Wraith existence, throttling Goblins in the Catacombs, but upon Laylak's order, moved to Eastern Daas to establish a colony of Dark priests. For a dead Lord,
he sure was talkative.
Ogrek was the first Wraith to come out of hiding - he was the Herald of things to come during the years 2592 to 2598. No one knew what he was or what he wanted, only that he was one of the Triangle of Evil. |

For millennia, the greatest thinkers and philosophers of more than a hundred races have speculated on Orion's origins and purpose. Is he a God? Is he really immortal, eternal and without equal? Below is a history of Orion - by no means complete, it does shed some light on this enigma of a being... ![]() Eventually these two bodiless beings decided to settle and turn their thoughts to things other than exploration. They decided to share their knowledge and wonder of the Universe by making a child. They joined their minds in an act of pure creation, drawing upon the cosmic energies and matter present in suns, nebulae and anomalies to mould a being of such perfection, beauty and power that the entire Universe rippled with his coming. The child was Orion and he was more
than they had ever dreamed.
The two beings rejoiced at their creation and guided Orion to many of the Universe's greatest wonders. Some say the sounds of their happiness still echo now at the farthest corners of existence, bringing comfort to the lost and forgotten. They taught Orion everything they knew, sometimes passing decades in contemplation and speculation. But eventually Orion came to his own conclusions and chose a path his parents would not / could not condone. One day he descended upon a young world and found humanoid beings not dissimilar to his own appearance, engaged in acts of terrible violence and atrocity. Before his parents could stop him, he ignored a thousand years of their teachings and made himself visible. Unshielded, Orion's naked mind and body contained the harnessed cosmic energies of the Universe. It proved too much for the fragile humanoids before him. Some went suddenly and irreversibly mad while others burst into flame, their flesh overwhelmed by his light. In moments, the beings smoldered until only a handful remained, hideously twisted and scarred. (Note - This is where Baphomet links his mind to this world, Silvosa, creating a gateway. The Dragon King hears the minds of these people crying out across the void and comes to their aid. But when he arrives, he senses another being of tremendous power and leaves. The gateway remains though, linking Silvosa to the Heartstone of Eldahar and its network of Voidal links - proving instrumental to future events.) Orion cried out and took the fragile
forms up into his arms. Weeping, he summoned his parents;
A thousand years passed and Orion still watched as if time had only blinked. Teah and Lythan had managed after many attempts to sire a family, a feat Orion found incredible, as when he had created their new bodies, he hadn't given any thought to procreation. Indeed, though their flesh bore no similarity to his own indestructible cosmic matter, the template was very much the same and hence, sterile. Somehow though, Lythan and Teah had overcome this problem and sired 6 children, each radically different from the next. One was short, hairy and thick set with a strong musculature and frame. The second was tall, lissome and thin. Swift of foot and keen of eye and hearing. The third was dark skinned, thin, swift and cunning. The fourth physically unimpressive but mentally focused and astute. The fifth strong and winged, the sixth adaptable and blue skinned, able to exist in different environments. These children in turn became the first of their own kinds, forming the Seven families. Qual, Kelsti, Endonian, Thulku, Drynn, Tanathu and Leathiadorian. After another two thousand years, the seven families had grown in population, calling themselves different names and developing distinct characteristics to set them apart from the others. Also, a few more Qual had born, giving rise to the theory that one in every ten thousand couplings would produce a Qual; literally a hybrid genetic mix, as each and every member of the seven families had come from the same DNA. Then something happened that changed
everything. The Qual discovered Baphomet's
gateway.
Orion knew the gateway didn't really exist - it was the projection of a mind or power even more powerful than his own; an illusion of such intensity that to anything other him, it would be real. What bothered Orion though, was that this gateway led to somewhere he could not go and knew nothing about. Opening the gateway, the Qual risked
angering this "power beyond" and not willing to see his "children" harmed
in any way, Orion descended upon the Qual homeworld of Silvosa like a falling
sun.
Thousands of more years passed and the 7 families became 7 races occupying 7 closely linked worlds. The Qual ruled over the other six and Orion ruled over the Qual. Not that Orion ever made decisions or acted directly... in fact Orion spent hundreds of years at a time in silence, sat on his throne, sending his mind across the cosmos in search of his parents. He wanted to show them his creation, show them they had been wrong all this time. But most of all, he wanted their companionship. He was alone among the Qual. They still feared him like a God and tried to keep their minds a secret from him, none of them truly understanding his power or his purpose. Then the events as chronicled in The Coming of Humankind to the Seven Fold Circle took place. The gateway was made unstable by the detonation of a Anti Matter Bomb just after human rebels fled through it to another world. Closely followed by the decimated remnents of the 7 races and Orion himself, the golden age of the Qual had come to a sudden and cataclysmic end. Now Orion had been so engaged in the search for his parents that he hadn't noticed the arrival of humans among his children at all. When the bomb exploded, hearing the death cry of 95% of his "children" brought him snapping back across the Universe in a furor. He was still too late. Able to partially contain the explosion, he found himself only able to delay the collapsing gate (that was rapidly becoming something similar to a Black Hole). Orion lacked the power to move his people away to safety as matter was being sucked into the gate at a frighteningly exponential rate. So he made a decision. If his people were unable to escape the gate, he would shield them with his mind and enter it to. What followed was later called "The Homeland Exodus." All the worlds touched by Baphomet's Mind gates across the Void began to collapse, one after another. Before each gate became too unstable, refugees from each and every world down the line piled into the collapsing gateways in order to escape destruction. Eventually, over a hundred and twenty worlds later, thousands of these fleeing beings, of hundreds of different races, religions and creeds, poured out of the Master Gate on Mount Eldahar. They had arrived at the "Eldar Home" - origin point for all the Voidal Gates and home to Baphomet - Dragon King, creator of the Heartstone of Eldahar. Year 0;-
The Titans and Dragons of Eldahar were divided on what to do with the Homeland refugees. Some of them feared the power these new races brought with them and feared losing control over the Heart of Eldahar. Others were willing to give these homeless people a new Home. Eventually things became so volatile that a group of Dragons led by the Titan Eskanu attacked and "killed" Baphomet. Note - The story of this terrible day has been told many times - there are many different versions. In another, it is Orion who unfortunately causes Baphomet's demise. In another, Baphomet is merely crippled and rendered inanimate by the shattering of his own Heartstone. Orion refused to let this group of creatures destroy his children. Also, within the Heartstone of Eldahar, Orion himself have become vulnerable to whoever had absolute control of the Heartstone. i.e. Whoever controlled the Heartstone could make or remake anything in Eldahar - including to some degree, a being as powerful as Orion. Sensing this danger to himself, his purpose and his children, Orion took a bold and suicidal step. He reached out with his mind and tried to place the entire world within his own imagination. As he was technically already inside it's imagination a sequence of strange events transpired. A replica of the Heartstone of Eldahar materialised inside Orion's mind; something Eskanu and Baphomet had never been able to accomplish and Orion only managed because of the uniqueness of his mind. Then, focusing his will, Orion shattered the stone inside his head, thereby preventing anyone or anything from gaining absolute mastery over Eldahar. Orion however suffered a mental schism
that literally shattered his mind along with the Heartstone. His mind and
that of the World had for a moment been one. Now the world was cracked
and Orion along with it.
In the 10th century, 18th century and 26th century, at the height of the 800 year astral cycle, Orion's mind came close to reforming causing events across the World to step up in intensity. Orion is unconscious but trying to awaken and reform himself from the mental matter of Eldahar. To do so though, he needs to separate himself from the World he has merged with - something that he just can't do. Realising this though after a few failed attempts, his unconscious mind and its desire to heal itself has created various things on Eldahar to aid him. The future;-
A Mentalist called Tamara made contact with Orion's mind by gaining entrance to his unconsciousness. There she discovered Mental Facets or Archetypes called Fatherland, Motherland, Sisterland and Brotherland. It was her belief that all four Archetypes needed to be united in order for Orion to reform himself. She discovered herself to be Motherland, Danae Mercy Celeste to be Sisterland, the World's interpretation of Orion (not the true Orion) to be Fatherland and the person that started the whole Cataclysm in the first place, Hannibal Murdoch O'Neal, to be Brotherland. The far future;-
A possible scenario...
Together they travel through the Universe and come to a startling conclusion. Recreating the gateways didn't just undo the cataclysm but also undid time, taking them back to the point in time that Baphomet created the gates in the first place. Phew. Orion realises this and one other fact. He and Danae now exist as bodiless minds after their metamorphosis in the Heartstone. Two bodiless beings journeying the Universe that will eventually have a son.... called Baphomet ? So begins The Story of Orion. |

Choosing the battle-ground. One place of three will be chosen. Consuming
of the light.
Undoing of all that has been done. The return of the All. By-names of Orion. Throughout the centuries, many countries have adopted their own beliefs about who Orion is and how he will return. As a consequence of this he has been called many names;- ION

| Some of Orion's abilities | Description |
| World Translocation | Orion can teleport from one World to another almost instantaneously. His range is over 300 light years in a single hop. |
| Aura of Cosmic Fire | When Orion is
feeling very emotional his internal aura becomes visible. This cosmic aura
effects everything in the area with Orion's mood. If Orion is angry, the
aura can obliterate; if he's feeling happy, the aura can rejuvenate and
heal. Orion's aura is Universal - the only problem is he doesn't have 100%
control over its effects.
Orion's aura allows him to propel himself through space and air at phenomenal speeds. |
![]() The Overfiend is born into the World with very little knowledge. However, as soon as he touches another spirit or living entity he can for an instant only, actually become that entity. |
