| 13/1 | Brenis
the Blue gathers a group of adventurous men and women together.
He deliberately chooses people that aren't high profile and are relative
unknowns. He does this for two reasons, 1) So that if anything goes wrong
they won't be missed and 2) If they realise just how big the problem is,
they won't be able to start a major panic or tell the wrong sort of people.
Having had his eye on some
of them for a while, he now gathers them together at his Tower in Evost
Derry.
He tells them about a small
group of undead near Garrolie. They leave 2 days later.
|
| 6/2 | The
Undead Advance
The Wraith, Marghoul, marches his army of 1450 undead against Esia's northern-most towns of Balram and Ostenard. Balram's population of 800 and 12 villages (population 180) are massacred. Fifty people are captured and allowed to be bitten by the ghouls before being imprisoned. In three days they turn into ghouls themselves. |
| 7/2 | Ostenard falls to Marghoul's ghouls. 600 people and 4 villages of another 60 people are decimated. There are no survivors. Marghoul and his allies, the Priest's of Orin, conduct a massive ritual over the dead bodies, burning and then raising them as skeletons. |
| 8/2 | Marghoul heads south leaving 50 ghouls and 100 zombies behind in Ostenard. Balram is looted for weapons and armor before being burned to the ground. Kildray the Wraith and 100 skeletons entrench themselves in the ruins. |
| 10/2 | Marghoul sends 200 zombies, 25 ghouls and his lesser Wraith Muadim east to the town of Surle. Lord Mabdal there has formed an allience with the dead, allowing Muadim to conceal his zombies in the Derro hills after being promised life after death, great strength and eternal power etc. |
| 11/2 | 10pm. Muadim floats up over Keep Derro's walls and unlocks the gates. His 100 zombies make quick work of the 50 sleeping soldiers stationed there. Leaving 5 ghouls and 10 zombies behind, Muadim continues his way south into the piping plain, arriving on the 15th. |
| 12/2 | News
reaches Castle Dunkritchof
Ostenard's defeat. The messenger, bought off by Marghoul with a few gold
stators, says that a Daasin army has marched across the Brown Barrens.
Panicking, Callen of Dunkritch rides south at speed to warn Lord Braggen
of Satyrn and Keep Sattar of the impending invasion.
Late that night Marghoul arrives at Dunkritch's gates. He shouts up in his raspy wraith voice, "Lord Laylak hath commanded this place purified to the Dark. So shall it be." |
| 13/2 | The village of Kritchlo is wiped out by Orin priests wearing Daasin armor. Some people are allowed to escape. They flee south. |
| 14/2 | Castle Dunkritch falls. The old hero, Hettar Rule challenges Marghoul to a fight and loses. Marghoul tears the man's heart from his chest in front of his family. | 15/5 | The
Army of Greyog - An Undead Uprising
Each night, those slain by the army vanish come dawn, only to come back again the following night as undead themselves. The Undead consist of patches of moving flesh, pillars of bone, skeletons, ghouls, zombies, mist demons, ghosts, ghasts and rot fiends. Thousands of people are slain. Whole villages are decimated, towns rampaged and cities shredded. Using
Lullreth
Crûme, Laylak imprisons the 3
Lich King's of Esium within their Temple.
Lullreth's evil wards are so potent that even the ancient Pentacul cannot
escape them.

The remaining priests of Wan attempt an astral ritual to locate a new High Doman. Unknowingly, Gray sits in their midst, watching the ritual take place. All the priests are slain (Aredis, Pavelar, Lebraj, Ave, Rorda, Capel & Curig), but Gray survives - his skin burning white from a holy fire. at Queen Kitara's palace in honor of Valadan - Lord of Stars, who is visiting
eastern Daas over the next few weeks.

They then move to Gost Arnan's palace and kill King Orin and his daughter, Princess Yisselda before also killing 3 other Lords on the way out. Note - King Orin (no link to the God Orin whatsoever - just unlucky enough to share the name) was extremely unlucky. All he had to do was trigger a magical device and it would instantly transport him into his own vault and to 2 potions, cure all poisons and cure all wounds. Unfortunately the Monarch killed him before he even knew it. Taraino is set up as the murderer and imprisoned. When Ross finds out, he journeys to Gost Arnan and becomes Sherlock Ross, out to free his friend. Adunathel
locates Imirical the "retired" mage, living in Gost Arnan. Merlendy needs
magic users and Aduna tries enlisting the mage to fight in the war against
Orin and the Living Dark. Imirical says "I'll consider it."
Freaked out, Aduna learns that the being is called Tibus of Osarki. Later she comes to realize that Tibus is a powerful Undead being and one of the 3 Undead Lords - drawn to her spirit because of its strange Draconian feel. Note - Tibus of Osarki was a Seer and an honorable man in life. But after being turned into a unique Undead creature incapable of physical sensation (literally a walking, talking dead body) he was betrayed and imprisoned by his brother and thrown into the ocean trapped in a chained box. He has just managed to escape, after several hundred years and Aduna is the first being he has spoken to in all that time. Gray
moves into a new address - The Cliff estate on Whitecliff Road, just west
of Gost Yaroch. He begins placing the people he has rescued here, giving
them a roof over their heads and an income as his servants.

| 23/7 | General
North attacks the town of Rynstisin with his Elite Daasin Guard.
On Kitara's urging, Gray rescues "Salamander", her top spy, from prison in Esiador. Celese speaks with the Young elemental Lords of the Wild Folk realm. She plans a huge hailstorm with them. An Undead
Lord to the Rescue.
Resigned to being tortured and then killed Adunathel remains her normal diplomatic self, throwing countless insults at her captors. But to her surprize, someone actually comes to rescue her. Tibus - Lord of the Undead smashes his way into her cell, picks her up, smashes his way through several thick doors and delivers her to freedom. When she awakens, she finds herself back at the Palace with Tibus nowhere to be seen. |
| 24/7 | Lord Taraino is rescued from
the headsman's block but no one notices as Mercy replaces his body with
a perfectly rendered illusion.
Celese's hailstorm hits Beleg Thaarna's army in Uncus' valley. A lot of people are seriously injured. Shanna begins escorting Princess Arilanne to Gost Arnan. Elsewhere, the Spirits
of Orion descend upon Caer Kemmel like Angels of Doom beginning a reign
of terror.
|

| 27/7 | The Ceremony of Mourning in Gost Arnan for King Orin and Princess Yisselda. |
| 28/7 | Celese conjures strong winds
to speed Foleas and his boats to Caer Kemmel.
Aduna and Shanna foil an attack by the Monarch on Princess Arilanne - next in line for the Yarilian throne. But the Monarch exacts a price from Shanna, leaving her at "death's door", minus a hand. Later that day, her priorities in order, Aduna orders 105 stators worth of new clothes. |
| 29/7 | Ashar
appears
Aduna meets Ashar for the first time at Lady Leanne's party. She finds him strangely magnetic. |
| 30/7 | The
attack on Caer Kemmel commences
Beleg arrives at Caer Kemmel with his army and immediately attacks. But things don't go well for the Black Elf when Tempest the Raven leaps off of Caer Kemmel's wall and takes down Lord Gedarius and Isperides the Black Zealot with an enormous fireball. In retaliation, Beleg lashes out with his own magic, destroying one of Raven's arms. Tempest just manages to make it back to the safety of the wall where Mercy struggles to keep him alive and restore his arm. He remains in shock for the rest of the conflict as Spirits of Orion plague him, trying to drive him mad. Beleg summons the Lia Kavair - a giant Beholder eye that can drive people mad with its gaze. Such is the creatures power that before it is banished, it puts Torin of Silver Keep and the Lady Mercy into coma's. Note - Though orin was its target, Mercy followed Torin's mind down into unconsciousness in an attempt to save him. |
| 31/7 | The Battle for Caer Kemmel
begins in earnest.
The Resistance keep landing Hethcanter's bridge inside Beleg's army. As the bridge cannot be detected the Resistance launch quick hit and run attacks deep within the Black Elf's forces. It isn't long before Hethcanter's calculations and a bit of luck land the bridge close enough to Beleg for a direct attack. The Resistance swarm upon the Black Elf with Ross taking the lead. Using the Merlendy nail to drive away the Spirit's of Orion and the Triskelle of Dagnoth to take down Sama Sama - Beleg's "Dark Elf possessed" metal golem, Ross and his companions slay Beleg's physical body. However before Ross can cut the heartstone from Beleg's chest, the Spirit's of Orion band together and just manage to whisk Beleg away to safety. Ross is not pleased. Especially when he and Hethcanter almost come to blows, arguing over the magical items they've captured. |
| 32/7 | The Spirit of Orion - Iphitus, causes cracks to appear in Caer Kemmel's walls. |
| 1/8 | North and Gray arrive in Tir Irisil, the Moon Mountains. There they meet the elves, Artagel and Roxanne. |
| 2/8 | Sable Anne, ambassador of
Elandia, visits Valadan.
North escapes the elves with Gray's help, taking a prisoner as he leaves. Gray takes the prisoner, Tievus of Tir Irisil to Kitara who glamour's (illusions) herself as an elf to question him. Alyx experiences a moment of divine intervention in New Risen - Daya. She comes away from the experience with renewed purpose. |

| 3/8 | Beware,
Demogorgon cometh
Celese and Ross are in the city of Caer Kemmel - Yarili. Four of the Spirits of Orion attack the city in anger at Beleg's defeat. Celese travels astrally to investigate them but gets attacked herself. As the Spirits of Orion are in their natural astral environment, Celese has to flee before they trap her and hurtle her thousands of miles away (which would cause her astral cord to snap and damn her soul to forever drift the astral plane). One of the Spirits throws a fireball at Ross whilst another hurls foul insults. North and his Daasin troops arrive in Caer Kemmel's bay on 4 warships to assist. Lord
Talwan loses an eye in the fighting whilst General
Wester is shot dead by an stray arrow.
Under Istar's guidence, the
Crucible
of Magic finish a 6 day long ritual to summon Demogorgon
from her imprisonment.
Ross runs out into the water and using his telekinetic hand, tries banishing the creature back from whence it came using his Blue Sword. But the demon shrugs off the attempt and carries on. With only one chance left, North runs out into the water and strikes the Demo-Dragon with his sword, Need. Need casts a powerful banishment spell against the Dragon and Demo-gorgan, with a screech shrill enough to shatter glass, is pulled by its giant magical binding chains, to vanish back into its rift. Unable to believe what he
has just seen, Istar teleports himself directly to Caer Kemmel. When he
arrives he throws an enormous lightning bolt at General North who after
defeating Demogorgon, shrugs it off.
That night Ross heads over to North's boat to celebrate their victory over Demogorgon.
Eskanu
rings the dinner bell

| 4/8 | The
Monarch cometh
The Yarilian army arrives by sea at Caer Kemmel. 3000 men under Lord Roic of Tolstall, Lord Aimar of Tyne, Lord Efrates of Timber and Lord Lian of the Hope Isles. Another banquet celebrating Demogorgon's defeat is held at Caer Kemmel's castle. Foleas, General Brook and General Ronsel attend. After the party Foleas, North and Ross are traveling back to their quarters when out of nowhere pounces the Monarch - (The most lethal of assassins hired by Istar of the Crucible.) Within seconds Foleas is killed, Ross is injured to the point of death and North is nearly killed too. Only North's inhuman strength, the Blue Sword's ability of parrying and Celese's timely intervention with her Wild Folk of fire drives the Monarch away (The Monarch refuses to be injured - even the slightest scratch shows him his defenses are flawed - forcing him to retreat and reconsider tactics.) The Monarch flees down the corridor covering his tracks with smoke. When he is safely away he pulls out his mirror-fragment and mirror-jumps back to his secret base under Evost Derry. Ross
gives himself to Law
North gets down on his knees and swears upon Need to slay the Monarch and all that he stands for. An oath that will eventually take North far to the west, to the lands of Sardium and the island of Sevekar.
10pm Laylak dark portal's to Evost Derry. Once inside the King's Castle he bursts into Kildarken's quarters, taking the Paladin of Emonra completely by surprise. Before Kildarken can reach his flaming mace, Laylak obliterates him into an unrecognizable greasy smear with a dark ball. The following morning Kildarken's blackened naked body is seen hanging from the Castle's flag pole with the circle of Orin branded on his chest, his fire mace no where to be seen. North and Ross organize a complete sweep search of Caer Kemmel castle. The search uncovers more of the Monarch's Apt's - skilled assassins seeded inside the Castle to kill various generals and Lords.
During the night Ross receives a visitation from Sir Hereldane of Bon Dure - in Lanth. Heraldane recognizes the Blue Sword and pledges the allegiance of Knight's of Rouse to Ross' cause. |

As the Dayan people (lured by Eskanu's dreams) head south en-mass to Mount Deon in Ulakhan, expecting to find their New God waiting with open arms, Gray and Alyx round up the only remaining Dayan Holy men and women to chase after them. |
| 6/8 | Sky

Various people, Ross, North, Foleas etc are awarded the Yarilian Medal of Honor.
Bo of Leah miscarriages in the "Trekker's Tale Inn". Adunathel uses Angel Heart to save Bo and her child. |
| 7/8 | Ross and North track another
Apt down to a dead end corridor. The Apt runs up the walls, somersaults
over them and out of a window. Halfway between floors the assassin is shot
down by a guard. Even so, after a fifty foot fall the Apt survives and
attempts to escape until North is forced to kill him.
Aduna Unknowingly receives a visitation from the Immortal - Saint Kessik of Rian who heals her wounds. When she awakens she is completely baffled by her good health. Later that day Aduna and Ashar have an in-depth conversation that results in Ashar asking "If you want him dead," meaning Marduke of Wake, "I shall do it. I shall kill him now." Ashar doesn't hang around, leaving straight away to where he knows Marduke will be. Like an angel of death Ashar walks up to the powerful Draconian spiritualist and crushes the man's will with his own, before running him through with his rapier. Then, giving himself over to the moment, Ashar kills Marduke's ally, Lord Hans of Tiver before handing himself over to the guard and allowing himself to be beaten and imprisoned. Adunathel, utterly confused by Ashar's behavior goes to visit him in prison. He refuses to help so she leaves him there, unable to come to terms with her mixed feelings for him.
North crushes yet another Apt of the Monarch. |

| 15/8 | A Titan
Reborn. Eskanu arises
Midnight. Eskanu completes her own ressurection when 300 entranced Dayans are sacrificed to her on Mount Deon in Ulakhan. The Dayan's blood flows down and over Eskanu's recently recovered bones, aiding the magical recreation of muscles, tendons and internal organs. At the height of the ritual Eskanu's skull, covered in a thin slick layer of skin and freshly formed scales rises high above the crowd of assembled Dayan's at the mountain's base. Blood begins raining down upon the entire area, upon Eskanu and upon the Dayans, from a blood red sky. As it strikes the ground, those touched by it begin screaming in madness, falling to their knees and clutching their heads, their minds filled with Eskanu's aweful presence. Eskanu's wyverns sit, perched atop the Mountain in a circle around Eskanu's reanimated bones. When Gray runs up the steps they fail to notice him or his spirits - a fact that Gray doesn't realize until it is too late. Just then a horde of concealed
Ulaks charge out of a hiding place at the base of the Mountain's steps.
The Ulaks begin slaughtering the remaining 3,500 defenceless Dayan's turning
the event into a complete blood bath.
Gray believes Eskanu has gone
to attack Elondil - Heaven. He isn't far wrong.

emasculated.
Gray power strikes the two trogs and shifts Rombhard back to Kitara's palace. The Queen shows Rombhard a lot of compassion and also gets very interested in his methods of enchantment. Later when Alyx recovers from her ordeal at Mount Deon, Gray says, "The fat lady has sung, Alyx." His words reduce Alyx into a flood of tears. As the Ulak's are celebrating their victory over the Dayan's, Gray mounts a counterstrike to take back the Dayan magic items. With the spirits Foe, Edge and Sun at his side, the High Doman of Wan kicks some Ulak ass.
On their continuing trip around Eldahar, Ashar and Aduna arrive at Weyren City in Weyr. There they meet the young dragon Yuekra and witness a Knight attempting to kill it. |
