coast. |
|
|
Palleah awakens weakly in
the slave hold of the ship, RollinOak. With her is an Armillian called
'Kam", and 'Hershe", an Imladan linguist.
Opportunity knocks. She is dragged before captain "fat" 'Travisher" and offered to the crew that night. Once again she gives an alias; Cally. The ship is bound for the Free-Port of Bale. When evening comes and the hatch is opened, she executes a perfect flying jump and catapults out of the hole. Narrowly avoiding the sails, she lands on the aft-castle and puts a knife to the steersman's throat. He escapes and shouts, but she jumps up again. Travelling ahead of the boat she now lands on the fore-castle and barely manages to fly in through one of Travisher's open windows. He runs for his sword; she runs for her staff. A stand-off occurs with men bashing down the door. Finally she makes the staff glow by circulating POW and levitates up into the air. Travisher is now wary and offers her a truce to learn more of her powers. An agreement is reached; She, Kam and Hershe are to be dropped off at Bale or Palleah will "sink the boat". Refusing an offer of partnership from Travisher, Palleah waits for Bale in First mate Hannig's cabin. |
|
|
Arriving at the trade port
of Bale, Palleah, Kam and Hershe are rowed to shore. Hannig throws down
Palleah's staff (taken as insurance), but it drops in the water. Palleah
dives in and just manages to save it.

Palleah slips up on KZ's neck and slashes her right leg (another scar, sigh). Eventually Palleah threatens KZ with the POW in the Dragon Staff, but she accidently lets all the POW out. It explodes in the air, sending KZ diving back to the staff for safety. The villagers return, wary of the "Big Bird's" return. Palleah assures them the village is protected by her magic. She continues her scrying practice. This time she "tunes in" to Urada's belongings looking for an aura imprint. Urada is "seen" in a castle dungeon, across the sea. In the early hours of the
morning, Ballimsor, Lord of the Elephants, stampedes 3 herds through Lappa.
Every building is flattened but there are no casualties. Palleah follows
the elephant trail back to the prairie plain of Arastaho.

Palleah flies around for
several hours, looking for the village of Mi-Yune.
On the way she arrives at the villages of Tabaya and Pekaro. Palleah eventually arrives back 45 minutes before Chin. Chin confronts chief Nym. Yakuda swarms his men from the trees. Fighting begins and Palleah takes to the air. She summons Kama-zue from the Dragon staff. *Events now pick up speed * The Mi-Yune surrender. Only 2 are executed. Chin sustains an injury to his left leg - a torn knee cap. Palleah actually knocks Yakuda over in anger. Men are sent to bring the Lappa to Mi-yune. Jima and Ojay are placed as Palleah's bodyguards. Her standing among the villages is now increasing dramatically. |

Erex is spiritually near,
occupying the body of a Tiger. At night he
moves across into the mind of Yakuda, asking questions. Yakuda remembers nothing. |
|
|
Chief Orm arrives and pledges support to Palleah and Yakuda. He had a dream - Palleah walked in through his hut and threatened him with a still beating heart in her hand (nice). "Come to Mi-yune or die." Of course it wasn't Palleah but her alter ego Sah'ra. |
|
|
Shaman Erex possesses Ojay's mind. Ojay and Erex enter spiritual combat. Palleah watches some of this fight at the edge of Ojay's mind. Ojay conquers Erex, crippling the Shaman into a coma. The Great Shaman Sheo (watching from afar) notes Ojay's potential. |
|
|
Palleah confronts Zeke of
the Pekaro with "Ku-mi-I". Zeke is sent back to Pekaro, defeated.
Later in the day, Palleah terrorises Erex's five nearby warriors. When she goes back to her hut to sleep, *Sahra returns*. |
|
|
Things continue to get out
of hand for Palleah. After another blackout she awakens in Nimram. Getting
up, she breaks a strange alarm ward around the bed. Outside, the entire
village calls her Sa-rah "Great
One" and
Shaman Noi is suspended off the ground by a point of light. Palleah also has two gold bracelets shrink-fitted to her wrists and a circlet holding back her hair. She is very concerned by all this. |
