time ago, when Eldahar was in its childhood, there arose a
legend among horse kind; his name, Torran - The Wise Stallion. Below is
a list (by no means complete mind you)
of characters Torran interacted with
during his 167 Role-playing sessions that ended in 1990.
I have also included information gathered during the 27 "Pride" sessions which took part 30 years after Torran's retirement. |
DEFINITIONS
| Dogon | A vicious magic-using dog. Approximately 17 Dogon existed throughout Torran's campaign, each with slightly different abilities. They were able to sense magic at a range of several miles. |

The spiritual leaders of Haven Vale; these two blessed horses would liaze on behalf of the herd with the "Guardian" - a spirit of nature. |
| Crazyleg | Wise wolf of Deep Mound. |
| Wishwash | Another Wisewolf. |
| Standstill | A very tired wolf - always yawning. |
| Lucktooth | A gappy gobbed wolf. |
| Rainsome | Nice shewolf who liked splashing in water. |
| Vladmok | Known as the Dreaming Hunter. Probably the most infamous Dogon ever, Vladmok killed dozens of horses in Torran's World, including Ursanda and the Wise Mare Kim. |
| Grumwik | A mean Dogon who died. |
| Banesbald | An old Dogon who lived underground after being banished by its own kind. |
| Wrendmarrow | A lethal killing machine. |
| Maulan | A "dreaming" Dogon able to kill its prey through nightmares. |
| Jenny | A human girl (aged 20) who befriended a herd of Wind stallions. She assisted Torran (much to his chagrin) by helping Mercy through a difficult birth. |
| Champion | A stallion with a large herd, consisting of ;- Pearce, Mane, Stash, Patch, Boon, Wave, Windy, Swan, Peach (+ foal), Lark, Acorn, Birch, Rose, Paddle, Beech, Oak and Thorn. |
| Saga | An ancient Wise Stallion and storyteller, Saga would travel between the herds, telling tales of Torran to young and old alike. "A bit like Gandalf but with four legs and hooves." |
| Sun | A legendary Stallion. |
| Amber | Daughter of Torran and Mercy - who was the Wise Dreamer and later mated with Kabe of the Wise Hidden. |
| Fable | Saga's mare. Together they journeyed the World as the first Wise Tellers. |
| Pride | A young colt of Legend's Hollow. Of Reave and Farah. |
| The First Ones | A group of 12 legendary horned horses who descended from "The Ark". Called ;- Ethereal, Aura, Legend, Myth, Fire, Ice, Heart, Love, Hero, Heroine, Fore, After. |
| Haven Vale | Where it all began - secret resting place of the Horn of Power. |
| High Haven | Where Sun ruled. "A place beyond the Dawn Rise," - Saga. |
| Legend's Hollow | Home of Reave's Herd. |
| The Onion Lands | A pet name coined by Torran. |
| "It's a Torran day, give it some yellow!" | Torran at his most optimistic and mentally unstable. |

| The Salmon Moose | Torran's doomsday weapon. A poltergeist Torran stumbled upon one day and always wanted to unleash upon his enemies. |
| Spongy hinges of protection | ? I think they were mental contacts hinged in the middle. |
| "Put a hinge in his head!" | Torran's way of saying "bounce a mental contact through the guy." |
| "This is how it works, it is TRUE." | Torran showing how a religious leader establishes himself. |
| "I'm gonna have you and take your skin." | Torran in his psychotic stage - after months of being hunted by Vladmok. |
| "He talks like a 1000 fish." | Who does? |
| "I'm a really together guy now," | Oh yeah. |
| "The World is square." | And it was, only kind of A4 sized instead. |
| "Lawn potato" | Haven't got a clue. |
| "People lickers" | Torran's way of describing horses who like humans. |
| "Peachy" | A term to describe anything good. |
| "It's the way of things," | Phrase that began in Havenvale but became a regular excuse for things not going the way they were planned. |
| "I'm paranoid, pessimistic and pissed off!" | Torran on a good day. |
| "She must be fully functional, above average in intelligence and looks, but not bigger than myself." | Torran posts an add for the perfect mate. |
| "I'm so "f*@king hard, so totally indestructable, f@*king unstoppable. Yeah and on top of that I'm gorgeous!" | Pride looking at himself in a pool. |
| "It's
a deep bassy bird," - The DM.
